Cape Town Guru Custom Tours
Cape Guru is a collective of people who have spent years exploring and getting to know every corner of the Western Cape and South Africa: the back-roads, the mountain passes, the hiking trails, the surfing spots, the art and craft projects, the best cycling routes, the best restaurants, wine estates, the artist’s homes and studios… You name it: we have the knowledge and experience to put the ultimate tour together for you, taking your interests and passions into consideration.
Because we are a small, home-based enterprise, our costs are kept to a minimum. Whatever your budget, we can tailor-make an itinerary to suit you. We do not offer package tours: every client gets a different product, specifically designed for his or her needs.
We like to use small, personally-run, guest houses as accommodation, where our guests meet South African owners and can experience the unique hospitality for which South Africans are famous. We favour those establishments which use environmentally-friendly principles and which provide employment and opportunities for locals.
We like to support small home enterprises, so we include visits to arts and crafts projects and markets where our clients can meet the artists, see how their products are made, and purchase some of their wares.
This goes for food too. Homemade, organic food has flourished in Cape Town and surroundings, and we take you to the food fairs and markets where you can sample these delectable products.
Cape Guru shares knowledge and passion for touring and adventuring in the Cape and further afield in southern Africa.
We design a bespoke tour which fits with your time available, your interests and your budget.
Whether you have already booked accommodation in Cape Town and want to spend some days seeing the local sights, or are still in the planning stages and want advice and support constructing the tour of a lifetime, let Cape Guru assist.
Apart from the comfort of travelling in an airconditioned bus, Cape Guru can also assist with planning an activity-filled holiday with, for example: hiking, cycling, surfing or kayaking included.
